American Public Media

Sign the petition against cuts to federal funding of public media

American Public Media’s music, news, and information services are critical to Americans of all ages and backgrounds. The White House called for the elimination of $1.1 billion for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The CPB supports 1,300 local public media stations across the country, many of which broadcast APM programs such as Marketplace, The Splendid Table, and Performance Today and those we distribute like The Daily from the New York Times and the BBC World Service. Although Congress just approved the elimination of this funding, they are working on the appropriations process for funding going forward. They need to hear from you, urging them to restore funding for public media.

You count on public media, and we will continue to serve you and your neighbors, but the action recently taken will have a devastating impact on the public media network and erode the services that you and so many others rely on.

Sign the petition to fight back against the recent action and restore federal funding for the CPB and we will deliver the petition to the White House and Congress. Take a stand for the public media you rely on.

No cuts to federal funding for public media

I oppose the recent actions to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The continued federal funding of public media, including American Public Media, is important to me. APM is a vital resource providing music and news to Americans of all ages and backgrounds. Federal funding for public media must be restored.
